BSA QLD (Building Services Authority QLD) is the licencing authority for building work in QLD.
The BSA QLD charter is to regulate the building industry through the licensing of contractors, educate consumers about their rights and obligations, make contractors aware of their legal rights and responsibilities, handle disputes fairly and equitably, protect consumers against loss through statutory insurance, implement and enforce legislative reforms and where necessary prosecute persons not complying with the law.
The ability of the BSA QLD to live up to it’s charter has been called in to question by many builders and subcontractors across QLD as well as the consumers they are supposed to protect.
The BSA QLD is not to be confused with the Building Services Australia website ( www.bsa-qld.com ) which lists quality contractors in Queensland.
